Prop 68?
We agree with Governor Schwarzenegger(I didn't vote for him). We agree that it makes zero sense for an $8 billion industry to operate in California while paying virtually nothing to support the common good(Greedy White politicians?). It's time for these immensely profitable Indian casinos to give something back to the state that's given them the most lucrative gaming monopoly in the nation. It's time for the people of California to get their fair share!
Taken from Fair Share for California

Does anyone remember the Indian Removal Act of 1830? The forced removal of 60,000 members of Native American tribes in the United States to lands farther west? America's policy had been to allow Native nations to remain east of the Mississippi as long as they became "civilized." In 1830, the only tribes still living east of the Mississippi had taken these measures. They were the Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, Seminole, and Cherokee tribes. The Cherokee in particular had gone to great lengths to become "civilized," even adopting Christianity and a system of writing their language. The "Five Civilized Tribes," then, had complied with U.S. policy and were entitled to remain on their lands in the eyes of the government. In spite of this, many white settlers wanted the land. When the federal government began seizing their tribal land, the Cherokee fought them in court. So the five tribes were resettled in the new Indian Territory in modern-day Oklahoma and parts of Kansas. The Native American inhabitants called the area "the Nations." The Cherokee were forcibly driven to Oklahoma in what became known as the Trail of Tears. Many of them died along the way.

California wants a fair share? Lost lives and discrimination outweigh California's need for a fair share. I think the Indian gaming tribes are taking what is rightfully theirs. Their forefathers had to endure indignations for decades. It's payback. I'm so sick of these commercials with people saying, "That's not right" or "I didn't vote for that." Maybe they'd be singing a different tune if someone came and took their home, killed their family, and relocated the rest to some former toxic waste site in the middle of nowhere.
